I ripped all the stuff from Tull's Stand Up reissue (excellent stuff), and none of the stuff from Yes' TFTO (I still cant get into that disc, but I really gotta try again).:lookaround If a Hi Res stereo copy becomes available, I use it to replace any CD sourced flac files of the same title. Else, each song will show up twice under the same album listing. If you do this remember to tag the album titles differently like "Meddle (2.0)" and "Meddle (5.1)". So I now routinely rip the stereo tracks as well. When stereo is required, the media player can be made to fold a MC source down to stereo, but my ear, there is often a big difference between the stereo fold down and a good dedicated stereo mix.
But if you are going to listen to the same music on a stereo and a MC system as I do, you may (as I did) soon go back and copy the Hi Res stereo tracks as well.
Like many here, I started out ripping only the 5.1 mixes from my collection.
